รู้สึกว่ามันให้อารมณ์ urban life ดี คนคิดน่าจะอยากสื่อสารตรงไปยังกลุ่มวัยรุ่น ซึ่งเป็นเป้าหมายของ Firefox?

หลังจากลง Ubuntu Hardy รุ่นหลังเบต้าใน VirtualBox ไปก็เริ่มได้ฤกษ์ใช้งาน ถึงแม้ใน Hardy Heron จะมี Firefox 3 มาให้ แต่เราต้องเสียเวลามานั่งเซ็ตโน่นนี่สักพักกว่าจะพร้อมทำงาน (โดยเฉพาะ bookmark ที่ใช้บ่อยๆ) โชคดีที่เดี๋ยวนี้มี Mozilla Weave ช่วย sync ข้อมูลระหว่างเครื่องให้แล้ว

ผมไม่เคยลองโปรแกรมจำพวก bookmark sync มาก่อนเลย (ของกูเกิลก็ด้วย) เจ้า Weave นี้เป็นของ Mozilla ทำเอง (ภายใต้ทีมงาน Mozilla Labs) ออกมาได้สักพักแล้ว แถมผมยังมีประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว คือไปยืนจิบไวน์คุยกับนักพัฒนาของ Weave (Dan Mills) ที่เบลเยียมอีกด้วย เมื่อบวกกับที่ตามอ่านใน Mozilla Labs ว่า Weave ตัวใหม่สำหรับ Firefox 3.0b5 ขึ้นไปออกพอดี เลยได้ฤกษ์ทดสอบ

Please bring back my old back and forward buttons. This new one is too ugly for me.

Since the advent of SSL by Netscape, the yellow URL bar has been integrated to web browser. While the yellow bar means 'encrypted', many people consider it as 'secure'. (We all know they are not equal). Surely, there are a lot of frauds using this mental exploit.

Some folks in Mozilla raised this issue. Then it became a security roadmap in Firefox 3. New and effective way to indicate the identity.

At first, I didn't care about this much. But today, with PayPal transaction, I see it in action. Quite nice. Very Distinguishable.

P.S. Anyway, sometimes I'm quite annoyed with too restrict certificate policy in Firefox 3.

Dear all Thai Firefox users,

Please take a look in this bug. It's about default Thai font set in Firefox 3 for all major platforms (Win, Mac, Linux). It's your last chance to discuss if you don't agree in the proposed set.

Current proposal:

• Win: Tahoma for all typeset
• Linux: Theppitak proposed this set (I have no objection):
  • Serif: Kinnari
  • San-serif: Loma
  • Monospace: Tlwg Typist
• Mac: I currently don't have Mac for test. Waiting for other comments.

For Mac, I heard about Thai issues on Leopard but have never tried by myself. Could Mac users provide any information on bug comment?
